Wether Show
The fat wether show
included purebred and grade lambs that were judged by the same judges of the breeding animals in the specific breeds. The overall wether champions were selected by J. C. Duncan, Lewiston, N. Y.
The grand champion wether
competition included an interesting controversy when it was discovered
that the winner (Shropshire fat wether), was in fact not even a first
place winner. After being disqualified for this "breech of
etiquette", and a "courteous" protest by Telfer Bros., the reserve animal
was awarded the grand champion status.
