Ellenor E. Marlow
Ellenor (Ellen) Marlow was born in Indiana on August 4, 1869, the eighth child of William and Nancy Mullen Marlow. As a young lady, she moved to Kansas with her parents. Her first marriage was to John T. McMullin. They lived west of Caney, Kansas (in Chautauqua County) and had two sons, Romeo and Byron. Ellenor and John divorced. Ellenor then married Curtis Earl Howard and they had a son Edward. They divorced and Ellenor married Francis Marion Holtzclaw. Ellenor died in 1951 in Wyoming.

This spot is reserved for a photo of Ellenor Marlow McMullin Howard Holtzclaw. If you know of one, we'd sure like to post it here. We would especially like to locate a scan of an early photo.

This is an 1891 photo of John T. McMullin, first husband of Ellenor Marlow taken at "Caneyville", Kansas. I assume that at some point, Caney was called Caneyville.

Becky wrote: J. T. was born 2-13-1870 in Texas; his sister Lucy was born in Pilot Point, so maybe J. T. was too. J. T. McMullin's sister, Lucy Jane McMullin Rhea is my husband's 2nd Great Grandmother. I have a letter from J. T. McMullin to Lucy's husband, Walker C. Rhea dated around 1930 that mentions Romeo getting married. J. T. died 12-26-1938 in Taso, New Mexico. I'm still trying to find out where he's buried.

Romeo and Byron McMullin, sons of J. T. and Ellenor Marlow McMullin.
