The Prairie Chickens of Bushwhacker

Greater Prairie Chickens were once extremely plentiful in Western Missouri.

This is a 1901 Stereoview that does a great job of showing that Prairie Chickens were plentiful enough to hunt.

This1913 postcard. also shows prairie chickens being hunted.

This stereoview is entitled " Steady, Leader" Notice the hunting dog in the background

Prairie Chickens were very plentiful, until...........................

..... the prairie was plowed.

Here are two ca 1920 post cards that show successful prairie chicken hunts.

The pictures on this page are from my dad's collection of antique post cards and stereoviews.
