Marjorie Noel Range shared a nice photo of the Ben Smith home.

The Ben Smith home was located about a mile north of Bronaugh (just north of the Noel farm). The house is gone but I believe that the cedar tree may still be there. Don Irwin says that Mrs. Ben Smith was a Schwartz. The Schwartz farm was not far west of the Smith farm and it was eventually sold to Elmer Saathoff. Don also says that Mrs. Smith died at a relatively young age, leaving him with five children to raise. The oldest of them was Joe Smith. There was also a Charlie and some girls.
