Early mentions of McCammon family members include Bessie McCammon who was a student in the public school in 1899 and as a Cooper College student in 1904. Mrs. Emma McCammon was an officer in the Moundville Cemetery association by 1904. Daughter, Mary McCammon died in 1907 and was buried in Moundville Cemetery (see right). The 1900 census listed her birth month as January 1868 in Indiana. The family remained in Moundville Township for the 1910 census:
Sometime after 1910, the family left Moundville because the census for 1920 shows these same four McCammon's were living in Delta, Colorado. Daniel's gravemarker in Delta Cemetery, Delta, Colorado is a military marker indicating that he had served in the 35th Indiana Infantry during the Civil War. |
