Jessie Bailey, 1872 - 1929. Married Marvin Cleveland. Buried in Newton Cemetery, Nevada, MO.

Mike Cleveland tells that Jessie was a daughter of James Hess Bailey of Moundville. James Hess Bailey was born October 1, 1833 and died April 23, 1924. He is buried in Welborn Cemetery beside his wife Hattie, May 27, 1941 - April 10, 1899.

This photo is from the 1916-17 Moundville School Annual. J. P. Bailey was the president of the school board.

Mike Cleveland tells that J. P. was a brother of Jessie Bailey and son of James Hess Bailey.

Early ad from the Nevada newpaper, before 1910 for the stallion, "William Tell, Jr." out of a mare by Phillip Wilkes. The horse had been first prize in the roadster class at Nevada and Richards. Was a cousin of Lady De Jarnett, a well known mare at the Chicago World's Fair. Standing at stud for J. P. Bailey in Moundville.
