 The Janes family must have arrived in Moundville Township, Vernon County from Illinois between 1904 and 1906 based on the birth places of their children.

This photo of Grace Janes is from the 1916-17 Moundville School Annual. She was a senior.

She married Otto Saathoff on February 22, 1920.

They did not have any children.

Grace died May 25, 1979 and is buried beside Otto (Feb 12, 1895 - April 25, 1973) in Welborn Cemetery.

Larry Maffett identifies the young man in this scan as Harold Janes.
